When I painted the series, I would take one flower and paint it several times. This one was different - I only painted it once. But it really came out great. I love the background. As a contrast to my earlier pieces posted, this painting is in watercolor. About one-fifth of the 365 paintings I did in the series "A Year in Bloom" were watercolors.
