Hidden Seconsett Spot

Hidden Seconset Spot (detail, full size is slightly larger.)
12x12
Oil on Canvas
Contemporary Float Frame, Light Wood

Auction: Starting Bid: $175

Buy it now price during auction $350
Price after auction closes $590

I stayed on Cape Cod for a week to paint, at the home of a friend who lived in an area I had not yet discovered, a settled island called Seconset with lots of lovely nooks and crannies between the houses. This particular spot was shown to me as if showing a treasure, a hidden spot - and it was a treasure. Though it was overcast, it was quiet and lovely at the end of the access area, and no one bothered me the whole time I was there!

Thought you would like to see proof I was actually there.

"Boats in the Harbor"

These little pleasure boats are sitting in Rockport Harbor, MA. They are wondering why their owner hasn't come to take them out on such a lovely day, and I am too. Low starting bid, already framed, a great deal!

"Harbor with Roses"

6x6 oil on panel

framed with an exhibition quality
light wood contemporary float frame

This little piece is a perfect partner for the last two, making triplets. They look great together. This one was painted on my trip to the island of Islesford, off the coast of aAcadia National Park. Perfect day, roses in just the right place, lovely harbor. It really helped that our trip to that point had all been grey, rainy, and foggy. This was pure bliss to paint.

This piece is nicely framed with a contemporary float frame.
