Framed "Leaves, Bark, and Silver Pennies"

Leaves, Bark, and Silver Pennies
13x20
Mixed Media
Archival Mat plus Simple Wooden Frame
$375

I absolutely love this piece. It is one of a series that I occasionally do, and I will show these pieces for a few days. I call them "inside work". This piece combines nature drawing with tissue collage, acrylic inks, and colored pencil. Though the effect is abstract, it actually is quite realistic if you know what you are looking at.

Framed "Roadside Sugarhouse"

Roadside Sugarhouse
6x6
Oil on Panel
Gold Frame
$180

This small sugarhouse is in Woodstock, VT on rte. 12 on the way to Barnard, VT. I see it every time I leave my friend Ellen's house. I like the way it sits near the overpass of a small stream, with lots of fields around it. I went to photograph it after I painted it and my camera caught on the guard rail, bingo, end of camera. Oh well, it was tie for a new one anyway!
