Wouldn't you just like to take a walk now out to the ledges? You can almost get there. And I love the patterns the watermakes in the sand....Maybe that's what I should paint next. This is one of 15 plein aire paintings I did in one week in at Goose Rocks beach in Kennebunkport, Maine in September, working on an enclosed porch at the crack of dawn. Because of the enclosure, I could set up the easel, lights for the easel and for the palette and be ready, coffee cup in hand for the first rays, and I never knew what the morning would bring - simple clear color stripes? a storm? This morning I got this later on, around ten, I think. It was probably the last of the morning before the light flattened out. You can see the plein air paintings by clicking here. I also created a series of studio paintings from the photographs and memories I took home with me.You can see all the studio paintings on my websiteby clicking here.
