#354 in the "A Year in Bloom" series. This is a joyful piece containing flowers from my late summer garden. There are orange and yellow cosmos, verbena bonansiaris, and a wonderful large red sunflower.
"A Year in Bloom" was a floral series that I did while I lived in Vermont. I created 365 paintings of flowers, with about 85% of them oils and the rest watercolor. The images were used to create series of cards and you can see them on line. This one is part of the gardens and bouquets set, a set of 6 different blank cards that are all in a mood of brightness and elegence, like this one. See that set by clicking here.
