Fall into Winter

5x7
Oil on prepared Paper
Auction
$50

I had totally forgotten about this one, too, before I unearthed it recently. I cannot remember where I painted it, but I think it was out of my back window when I moved to Vermont. I love the rich colors and the feeling of transition.

Matted "Blue Skies #2"

Blue Skies #2
9x12
Watercolor
$175

This is the partner piece to Blue Skies #1, posted yesterday. It also has a sky so huge I had to make the horizon very low. The two together make a great set. Buy both for $300 and save $50.

PLum Island #2 - Just Mowed

Plum Island #2 - Just Mowed
12x12
Oil on cradled panel
$325

The same day I painted Plum Island #1 (posted yesterday) I painted this picture at the Parker River Wildlife Preserve at Plum Island. I just looked right instead of left, same spot. The fields had just been mowed, probably a control of some kind in this wildlife refuge, and there were wet spots in the foreground as well as the waterway behind. What at first seemed rather plain and simple, became one of my favorites.
