This piece is sold

I came across this and thought you might like to see it. It was done in Texas Falls State Park in Vermont, sitting on a picnic table and not knowing yet that I had been bitten by those tiny bugs, I think black flies, under my hairline while I had been sitting over by the falls. Glad I didn't know it then! It was such a peaceful beautiful day.

One of my favorite escape places is the Nubble Lighthouse in York Maine. Set off on a separate island, it is fabulous. The rocks surround the area where cars park to view it, and kids constantly climb up and down the rocks, searching for little crabs in the pools. I've watched my grandsons do this many times. Nothing makes them happier! Such a nice day, and it can be made even nicer by going over to the restaurant carryout and getting some Clam Chowder. Umm. Heaven.

It was the last painting day of my Henry Isaacs/Ashley Bryan workshop on Islesford and the first sun we had seen, so we were quite joyful. After painting a couple of small pieces looking out at the harbor, I turned and saw this sunlight shining through the trees and hitting the little one in the back. It was fun to paint!

I am hungry to go to Long Hill Reservation in Beverly when the blue flowers come out. There are thousands of siberian squill and scilla and they pop up everywhere. It was a beautiful day when I sat down and painted these nestled in some rocks at the base of a greening-up tree.

These little pleasure boats are sitting in Rockport Harbor, MA. They are wondering why their owner hasn't come to take them out on such a lovely day, and I am too. Low starting bid, already framed, a great deal!
