Gave you a view yesterday, but today the auction is live! The flower is white, but the colors run to pink and blue. I like to think that Renoir and Monet did this type of thing with colors....it's lovely for those who like pink and blue.

Just Lowered Starting Bids!

I have just lowered all starting bids on my paintings that are up for auction! Normal selling price is $190 for an oil painting that is framed and double matted archivally. Bids now start at $130.  That's a big savings! Get your piece of original art from Lynne before the other 2,500 daily subscribers to paintworks do! The first works that I am offering are the classics from the "Year in Bloom" collection. You know how special they are, you've seen and loved the cards I make from them for years. Consider owning one yourself!

PREVIEW: Here's tomorrow's auction piece - "Open Godetia"

Spray of Yellow Freesias

New Auction!

"Spray of Yellow Freesias"
Oil on Prepared Paper. 8x6"
Double Matted Archivally and framed under glass
with a silver aluminum frame (see below)

AUCTION: Click here

Spray of Yellow Freesias has strong yellow flowers against a delicate soft backgroung of foliage. I thought freesias were one of the classiest of flowers when I was working with them. I was always happy when they were available.

This is a lovely piece. It is part of the magenta ribbon collection. The lilies are one of my favorite colors, rich pinky-red. Lilies are one of my favorite flowers to paint - I like their structure and beauty. The alstromeria is like a tiny lily and compliments it. Both last a long time - good for painting!

Welcome to my new blog!

Hi to both new and old friends: I will now be posting a painting each day on the site "Daily Paintworks" Please subscribe to have these delivered to your inbox! Most of the paintings that are posted will be available for sale, either directly or by auction. I will be starting with my works from my "Year in Bloom" series. In this series I painted one painting each day on average. Many of these images are still available for sale and will be posted. Also, some of the pieces that have been sold are available as either single cards or in card collections, and you will be referred to the sale site by clicking on the link. It is a new adventure for me and I am hoping that a lot of my beautiful art will find a good home. They are getting tired of my storage area.

I have chosen to offer you this wonderful piece for the first auction. While I love it, it is time for it to move on and join the ranks of floral pieces from the series that has earned a good home. Painted on 10/17/97, it have graced several exhibits and was one of the pieces that inspired the card collections.
